SLICE Ann Arbor recently profiled Mike Savitski (BFA 1986), Founder/​Owner of Savitski Design, a graphic design firm specializing in print, book, and identity-based projects. 

Mike has served clients ranging from academic institutions and arts presenters to publishers and architects, including the U‑M Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, U‑M Institute for the Humanities, U‑M Museum of Art, Detroit Institute of Arts, Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., and American Academy in Rome. His work has been recognized nationally by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, American Association of Museums, State Library of Michigan, Type Directors Club of New York, Chicago Book Clinic, American Advertising Federation, as well as Communication Arts and Print magazines. Mike has also served as adjunct assistant professor at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, where he received his degree during the Reagan administration.” When he’s not working, you can find him aimlessly wandering with a camera around his neck, playing the trombone, or having a pint at the Red Hawk. Mike resides in Ann Arbor in a tiny Old West Side home with his wife Annmarie.
