MFA overview5

Alisa Yang (MFA 2016) screens her thesis film Please Come Again at the Let’s All Be Free Festival in London on Thursday, October 13 at 7 pm.

Let’s All Be Free is a cross-platform initiative that encourages individuals all over the world to seek out free lives through the exploration and celebration of the many expressions that can lead to that freedom; the 2016 festival unfolds October 12 — 16 in London. Alisa’s screening is part of the Freedom in Film” event. Alisa will also participate in a post-screening panel discussion entitled, My body, my right, is sex work a human right?”

Alisa’s film, Please Come Again, is part of a multimedia exhibition exploring the sensory environment and culture of love hotels in Japan. The complete project includes photography, installations, and a three-channel projection navigating the themed rooms in love hotels as a metaphor for the female body in contemplating one’s memory, sexuality, and cultural identity.
