The Best College Town

There’s a reason Ann Arbor is consistently named one of the best places to live in America.

Graduate study is about building your creative practice. But it is also one of the few times in your life when you can engage in the creative risk taking, life altering, cross-disciplinary, community building experiences that will accelerate new ways of thinking and making.

Our two graduate programs, the Stamps MFA and the Stamps MDes in Integrative Design, draw on the resources only available at a top tier research university. Graduate students work with leading artists and designers from around the world, scholars and researchers from across the university, and have access to cutting-edge resources and facilities within U-M’s 100 top-ranked programs.

Each of our two-year graduate programs combines creative production with rigorous academic studies to prepare you for a critically informed, socially engaged, and culturally impactful creative practice.

The Stamps School offers generous merit-based financial support, from stipends and discretionary funds that offset studio expenses to teaching/research assistantships and full tuition waivers.
