Our Galleries

The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan is proud to announce a new gallery space in downtown Ann Arbor in the first floor of the McKinley Towne Centre at 201 S. Division Street, between Liberty St. and Washington St.

Starting in winter 2017, the Stamps Gallery will house rotating exhibitions of contemporary art and design, including work by Stamps students, faculty, and alums. With nearly 8,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Stamps Gallery replaces Work Gallery (306 S. State St.) and Slusser Gallery (2000 Bonisteel Blvd.).

“The Stamps Gallery offers us a larger and more expansive space to support more ambitious exhibition and curatorial programs,” said Guna Nadarajan, Dean of the Stamps School of Art & Design. “The space will allow us to show works that fuel our students’ education and give them hands-on opportunities in exhibition participation, promotion, curation, and design.”

The Stamps School of Art & Design exhibition program will be on hiatus in fall 2016 as the Stamps Gallery undergoes renovation. A proud new addition to Ann Arbor’s vibrant cultural offerings, the Stamps Gallery will open to the public in winter 2017.
