Andy Kirshner’s Film Liberty’s Secret Available Online, Screens At Film Festivals in November

In September 2016, Andy Kirshner - Associate Professor at the Stamps School and the School of Music, Theatre & Dance - premiered his feature-length movie musical Liberty's Secret at Ann Arbor's historic Michigan Theater.

A girl-meets-girl movie musical about the song and dance of politics, the film was eight years in the making, yet it's release in the hyper-polarized 2016 election couldn't be more topical.

In addition to the Michigan Theater screening, the film is traveling to film festivals this fall and available for digital download starting Friday, November 4, the weekend prior to the U.S. presidential election.

"November 4 will be just a few days before our wackiest-ever U.S. election, and most of us will be feeling quite anxious," said Kirshner. "So why not invite a few friends over to your house, fire up some microwave popcorn, and escape reality for 98 minutes with song, dance, romance, and political satire?"

To join in the fun, pre-order the film through the Liberty's Secret Vimeo on Demand channel. Use the coupon code "LS" at checkout to receive the film for half-price ($7.50). Viewers can also secure digital downloads from VHX. Contributors to the film's crowd funding platform will receive separate email instructions for download.
