MinuteEarth, an online, animated science video series with over 1.5 million subscribers and ~150 million views on YouTube, is looking for a contract illustrator/animator to join our small, international team.
The ideal candidate possesses not only illustration/video/animation skills and a background in science, but also relentless curiosity about the natural world, high tolerance for revising and improving their own work, and enthusiasm for working closely and collaboratively with others over the Internet.
– Experience creating digital illustrations required.
– Experience editing video required. Experience editing audio preferred.
– Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere required. Working knowledge of AfterEffects preferred.
– Love for science required. Background in science and/or science communication preferred.
Initial commitment is on a per-video basis, but has potential to grow into longer-term contract or salaried position (both part- and full-time).
Compensation starts at $1600 per video and increases as illustrator gains experience with MinuteEarth’s style, techniques, and workflow.

Michigan Athletics is seeking a student with skills in video creation and editing to as a freelance videographer. This individual will collaborate with the digital team and the 29 sports teams (including Michigan football, basketball, and hockey) to capture footage and utilize editing software to inject audio/music, as well as graphics and text, to create creative short and long-form video content to be distributed on various digital platforms.

Adrian Sanchez-Lohff has designed a small self-defense product and needs someone with drawing ability to come up with 2-4 sketches of the product to submit as part of the Patent Application. A 3D model has been developed and the sketches will be based on this.
