Re-design of expanded Pop-Post website. Understanding of front / back end UX / UI build with strong graphic design skills. Design additional web and brand assets ongoing. Seasonal Studio Assistant

Looking for an assistant to help with gift + stationery company during the busy pre-holiday season. The primary responsibility will be packaging products for retail sale (sleeving cards + prints, adding packaging stickers, etc.) and packing wholesale orders. The secondary responsibility will be some easy design work that requires intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (if you are comfortable with the pen tool, it will be a breeze.) If time and schedule allow, additional tasks may include writing product descriptions and website copy, product photography and/or styling, creating + scheduling Instagram posts and other miscellaneous tasks related to running an independent stationery company. This is a part-time paid position at home office on the West Side of Ann Arbor.

Graphic Artist Temporary Employee

Offering a unique art and design education within the University of Michigan, the Stamps School of Art & Design focuses on creative practice as an engine for cultural change and innovation. We’re looking for a Graphic Design Student to join the Stamps Communications & Marketing Team for the 15/16 fall and winter semesters.

This position will provide one lucky student with hands-on, deadline-driven experience creating a wide variety of portfolio-worthy Stamps collateral (print materials, digital ads, posters, postcards, and tchotchkes).

Graphic Design Internship with Michigan Athletics

Opportunity to create a high volume of varied assets to support the promotion of Michigan Athletics, its teams and events. Individuals will assist the Creative Services staff in the Michigan Athletic Department with graphic design projects. Depending on level of ability and experience, assignments could include print and web advertisements for athletic event ticket sales, house ads, social media, team promotional materials. Individuals should be familiar with InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator.

Freelance Illustration/Internship

Leesta is an education technology company that inspires 8-11 year olds, by teaching American History through the stories of women. The main component of Leesta is a series of interactive timelines that will tell the stories of these women, through media that is more informative and engaging than a textbook.

We are looking for a talented illustrator with a strong work ethic. The position would comprise illustrating a complete timeline profile of at least ten panels, and preparing the files for animation. The student will be working as part of a team. As the illustrator he or she will be directly collaborating with the animator and with the scriptwriter, to create the best methods for story telling. We truly value the critical thinking and problem solving skills that artists can offer, and plan on giving the artist freedom to implement his or her vision. We are offering the student the opportunity to be a part of something that will leave a positive impact on the future of elementary education. At the end of the semester the student will have an amazing piece that will one day be used by children all over the country.

Skills: We are looking for an illustrator with a solid understanding of Adobe illustrator, who will be able to separate illustrations for svg animation. The student will also need to have strong research skills and historical accuracy.

Hours: The student will need to complete 150 hours by the end of the semester

Pay: This is a paid position. Compensation is negotiable.

Part Time Graphic Design Opportunity

Constructive Eating, Inc. is a local manufacturing company that designs eating utensils and other mealtime accessories for children. We are looking for a part-time artist/graphic designer to assist with design-intensive product development, marketing, and web design. Depending on workload and fit for both parties, part-time project-based employment could expand into full-time employment.


·      Adobe Suite proficiency, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

·      Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and meet deadlines

·      Photography and video editing skills a plus

Call for Sculpture

River Gallery is seeking an experienced sculptor to complete a private commission to be permanently installed outdoors in the heart of Chelsea, Michigan as a memorial to a local resident. This work will compliment SculptureWalk Chelsea, an annual outdoor rotating sculpture exhibition.

Nature inspired; potentially relating to flowers and hummingbirds

4’-5’ in height

$4,000 - $5,000 (includes delivery and installation)
