The selected candidate would be responsible for overseeing the Chicago design department’s projects and administrative tasks, in addition to working with the Toronto design department to ensure smooth communication between offices. Graphic Artist Needed

Graphic artist proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator to design and prepare graphic materials involving complex design, artistic continuity, and professional client contact; prepare designs and layouts for publications, posters, charts, graphs, presentations; select materials, techniques, and design formats; document design process for graphic materials to enable the reproduction of artifacts by others. The artist needs to be able to respond positively to formative feedback by project staff. Glen Arbor Artist In Residence Program

An artist’s residency is an opportunity for practicing artists to enjoy two weeks of concentrated study and creative exploration. Residencies are considered in writing, visual arts, photography, sculpture, fiber arts, ceramics and music. $5000 Cartoonist Foundation Scholarship

October 20, 2015

The annual Jay Kennedy Scholarship, in memory of the late King Features editor, was funded by an initial $100,000 grant from the Hearst Foundation/King Features Syndicate and additional generous donations from Jerry Scott, Jim Borgman, Patrick McDonnell and many other prominent cartoonists. Submissions are adjudicated by a panel of top cartoonists and an award is given to the best college cartoonist. The recipient is feted at the annual NCS Reuben Awards Convention attended by many of the world’s leading cartoonists.
