Production Assistant for inVNT

inVNT is looking for a motivated and ambitious candidate to join our dynamic event production and communications agency located in the Motor City. This is a part-time position as a production assistant, with a start date in late May/early June. 

It may become a full-time role in the near future. For the ideal candidate, we are willing to work around schedules for students graduating in the spring. Candidates must possess a great attitude, flexibility, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to handle stressful situations. He/she must work well with several supervisors, and display an interest in learning more about our industry. In addition to showing strong prioritization and organization of work, the candidate also needs to be comfortable with wearing “multiple hats” of responsibility. This position is a starting position that will provide an opportunity to advance within one of the leading agencies in our market.

Internships with The AartWorks Project

The AartWorks Project is seeking dynamic and innovative interns interested in creating community with collaborative art for our spring/summer 2015 art studio road tour. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral, hands-on member of a huge community art project and team.

The AartWorks Project, based in Ann Arbor, is a community art organization supporting art projects that promote creativity, community, and change. There are several ongoing projects currently under The AartWorks Project umbrella, including Why I Love Michigan, a statewide project that will conclude with an art installation at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids this fall.

Web Design Inernship with COE

The College of Engineering Office of Student Affairs is currently looking to hire one Web Design Intern to start work in May.

This is a paid position, the assignment for approximately 20 hours per week during the summer and will continue 5-10 hours per week during the 2015-2016 academic year.

The Web Design Intern will assess, reorganize and redesign office websites within Office of Student Affairs using the CoE Content Management System (CMS). This position will also design, build and deploy web content within the CoE CMS, including text, graphics, appointment scheduling and other content types as appropriate.

This position may also create graphic designs for special communication projects, as well as assist offices to maintain and enhance their social media presence.

Draftsperson for the Goodman Theatre (Chicago)

• Work with the Technical Direction staff & the Properties Supervisor to realize scenic designs

Stamps Orientation Leaders

The Stamps School of Art & Design is looking for responsible and dedicated students to join our advising staff this summer as Orientation Leaders (OLs).

Orientation Leaders play an important role in preparing incoming students for the challenges of an art and design education. Along with Senior Orientation Leaders and staff advisors, Orientation Leaders provide information about the School, student life, and academic programs to incoming students and their parents. OLs will provide critical support to the staff advisors and Senior OLs by taking the lead in welcoming incoming students, articulating the School’s curriculum, and proving insight into the ethos of the School.  OLs have responsibility for key orientation activities: peer advising, backpacking and course selection, and Stamps community building.

Teaching Assistants for Stamps Pre-College Programs

Teaching Assistants play an important role in the success of the Stamps Pre-College Program. TAs will provide critical support to the Pre-College Instructors in the classroom by taking attendance, running errands, setting up and cleaning up. TAs engage with all student participants by providing feedback, insight and instruction.

Mural Artists Wanted

World of Beer, located on South U. is seeking painters for beer-themed murals!

With over 530 beers offered, World of Beer is looking for student artists to paint big murals of craft brewery logos and names around the bar! Student work will be featured on red brick walls, and is a great opportunity to be showcased in a local establishment. 

We will be considering multiple artists for the job with a variety of styles.

Compensation is negotiable.
