McCann Detroit, an advertising and marketing agency located in downtown Birmingham, Michigan is seeking an Art Direction intern for Summer 2016. The Art Director internship will provide a realistic exposure to the overall day to day understanding of how a creative department functions.

Interns will:
Learn how to develop creative marketing concepts, ideas, written communications, and creative presentations
Coordinate creative assets, maintain creative library
Matte room responsibilities to include mounting and matting

Photography Internship

True to the Center for Entrepreneurship’s belief in learning-by-doing, the Photography Internship is an opportunity for students to get practical, professional experience in photography.

We are looking for a student with a passion for photo storytelling that has advanced photo-editing skills and a knack for capturing unique moments. The photography intern will be responsible for documenting CFE’s events, programs, classes and other activities to support and grow our marketing content, including providing photography to enhance our new website.

This intern will work directly as a member of the CFE’s Communication and Marketing team to ensure that its photography needs are met. This position requires attendance at CFE events, but editing can take place on the student’s own time.

Eligibility
Original artwork executed in precious and non-precious metals alone or in combination with other materials are eligible. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last 3 years and not previously shown in a Jewelry + Objects exhibition. Works produced in a school curriculum are eligible.

Graphic Artist Needed

Amanda Milewski is seeking a graphic artist proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator to design and prepare graphic materials involving complex design, artistic continuity, and professional client contact; prepare designs and layouts for publications, posters, charts, graphs, presentations; select materials, techniques, and design formats; document design process for graphic materials to enable the reproduction of artifacts by others. The artist needs to be able to respond positively to formative feedback by project staff. The artist will work in a project owned computer and surrender all original files when the project is completed.

ANN ARBOR ART CENTER: SUMMER INTERNSHIP IN EXHIBITIONS

The Ann Arbor Art Center is seeking a motivated, gregarious individual to work in the Exhibitions Department on upcoming art exhibitions in the 117 Gallery. The 117 Gallery at the Ann Arbor Art Center hosts approximately 12 art exhibitions per year, with an annual outdoor exhibition held in the fall.

ANN ARBOR ART CENTER: SUMMER INTERNSHIP IN GRAPHIC DESIGN

Flexible hours – Ideally 15-20 per week
The Graphic Design intern will assist in the production of marketing materials for the Ann Arbor Art Center in order to promote our many events and activities. This may include Social Media and website posts and banners, brochures, flyers, newspaper ads, ad campaigns, etc.

Graphic Design Internship with the South U Art Fair

Ann Arbor’s South University Art Fair is seeking an energetic, responsible, creative Graphic Design intern to help out for summer 2016.

Ann Arbor’s South University Art Fair will be holding approximately a 12-week paid internship program beginning May 1, 2016 for current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates. This is a unique opportunity to get an inside look at what it takes to plan the country’s largest and most recognized art fair.

Requirements:
-      1-2 years design experience with a proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
-      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel
-    Experience with Dropbox, Wordpress, and Mailchimp
-      Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
-    Creative ability to design tee shirts, posters and mailings.
-    Minimal office duties required.

This internship involves working during the fair and duties would include working directly with our graphic design company, vendors as well as artists exhibiting at the art fair, and co-coordinating volunteers. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, ability to work well with others and work well under pressure.

Hours per week: 20-40
Days required: Monday-Friday;
Art Fair Hours: Thursday through Sunday July 21 - 24, 2016, 7am-9pm these days are Mandatory.
Expected Compensation: Based on hours worked.
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Requirements: We kindly request that applicants be located in Arbor for the duration of the internship May 1, 2016-July 31, 2016
